2025 Annual Boat Cruise!

A Glorious Float of Food, Fun, and Questionable Dance Moves

Posing for the photo op, the neighborhood guests did it up right!

Setting sail with success

What do you get when you combine a bunch of neighbors, a party bus, a boat full of snacks, and a playlist that refuses to quit? Clay Webb’s Annual Boat Cruise, of course, and this year’s edition was nothing short of epic.

We kicked things off at the Webb driveway, where spirits were high, both metaphorically and literally. Clay hosted the pregame gathering like a champ, as we caught up with familiar faces and met some new ones, including friends and family who smartly tagged along for the ride.

Soon enough, the party bus rolled up like it was straight out of a 1990s field trip dream, only this time we swapped sack lunches for coolers and casserole dishes. We crammed in like kids on the way to summer camp, windows cracked to catch the breeze, music thumping, and a general sense that whatever rules used to apply, definitely did not tonight.

Destination: Excelsior. The Lady of the Lake awaited us, shimmering and noble, ready to carry our hungry, hyped-up crew across Minnetonka’s finest waters. Upon boarding, we were properly lei’d (in the floral sense) and got straight to work setting up a floating buffet that would put a state fair to shame. From dips to desserts, it was a potluck paradise.

As we cruised, we admired lakeside mansions with the kind of curiosity only nosy party-goers can bring. “Five bedrooms but sixteen bathrooms?” one neighbor asked. “Are they hydrating that much?” Zillow had no answers. But we moved on.

The sun dipped low, the lake shimmered, and the deck turned dance floor as the beat dropped. The mid-cabin became a magnet for conga lines, and a few freestyle moves that may or may not be legal in some counties. Someone attempted a pole trick. We’re not naming names.

Eventually, the boat returned to shore (sadly, as all good things must), and our magical bus reappeared like Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage, hauling us safely back to Greentree West, fed, choreographically spent, and bonded through shared nautical joy.

Huge thanks to Clay Webb for once again being the captain of this unforgettable tradition. Long may it cruise!
